BGP Technical Informations
AS-PATH Prepending :
Jaguar Network is allowing customers to use AS-Path prepending to use preferenced routes on the network. You will be able to prepend on the network without asking Jaguar Network.
Jaguar Network will prepend AS30781 to Peers and UPlinks depending on a received community.
We are supporting AS which are peered with us. Please check our AS Object in the RIPE database to know the actual peers.

Local Preference
You can control the local preference for your prefixes on the Jaguar Network infrastructure using communities. The following list of communities are corresponding to the local pref that will be applied on our network.
Communities Informations :
30781:1080 Set local pref to 80
30781:1090 Set local pref to 90
30781:1100 Set local pref to 100
30781:1110 Set local pref to 110
Blackhole & NO-EXPORT Communities :
To protect your network from DDOS Attack, Jaguar Network is giving you the possibility to use the Blackhole community which will have for effect to send the DDOS traffic to our IDS System for sniffing purpose. If you use the No Advertise community, your network will be discared from the routing table and not announced to UPLinks or Peers.
Communities Informations :
30781:3001 Blackhole community (Exporting only to IDS System)
30781:3002 Do not advertise prefix to peer, uplinks and customers

Here is configuration sample for customers :
The Service Provider sets the BGP_LOCAL_PREFERENCE to 80 for an own advertised prefix:
ip prefix-list BGP_LPREF_80_IN_30781 seq 5 permit 172.16.0.0/24
route-map BGP_TO_AS30781 permit 10
match ip address prefix-list BGP_LPREF_80_IN_30781
set community 30781:1080 <Your ASN>:0 additive
The Service Provider prepends the AS_PATH one time when prefix is sent towards a specific AS at a peering or an upstream:
ip prefix-list BGP_PPREPEND_1_TO_4589 seq 5 permit 172.16.0.0/24
route-map BGP_TO_4589 permit 10
match ip address prefix-list BGP_PPREPEND_1_TO_4589
set community 65001:4589 <Your ASN>:0 additive
If an incoming prefix has the community 30781:2001 attached as an attribute, this value is matched through by a route-map triggering the action of prepending the AS PATH one time. The ASN prepended is the customer.s ASN defined with the .last-as. statement.
ip prefix-list BGP_PPREPEND_1_IN_30781 seq 5 permit 172.16.0.0/24
route-map BGP_TO_30781_PEER permit 10
match ip address prefix-list BGP_PPREPEND_1_IN_30781
set community 30781:2001 <Your ASN>:0 additive
The Service Provider blackholes the advertised prefix carrying this community:
ip prefix-list BGP_BLACKHOLE_IN_30781 seq 5 permit 172.16.0.0/24
route-map BGP_TO_30781 permit 10
match ip address prefix-list BGP_BLACKHOLE_IN_30781
set community 30781:3001 <Your ASN>:0 additive
The Service Provider does not advertise further the advertised prefix carrying this community.
ip prefix-list BGP_NOADVERTISE_IN_30781 seq 5 permit 172.16.0.0/24
route-map BGP_TO_30781 permit 10
match ip address prefix-list BGP_NOADVERTISE_IN_30781
set community 30781:3002 <Your ASN>:0 additive
